7:15pm – Engarde’s House.
“I must say, Mr.Engarde, you are certainly one of my more…Unorthodox clients. I have never been asked to murder my client, but I suppose there is a first for everything.”
“Well, you have no objections to this do you?”
“Of course not. I am binded by the contract to fulfill your requests. Is there anything you wish of me before I release you from this life?”
“…Don’t touch the note, the one in my hand with Crimson written on it, it’s private. Oh and, in the kitchen, there are four kittens, would you like to take one with you? They need a home, and I know you did fall for Shoe those years ago.”
“Unorthodox to a T aren’t you? Though I suppose a kitten would be something I can manage, yes. Which one may I take?”
“The ginger one, or the white and ginger one. The other two are taken.”
“I see, I shall collect it once the job is finished. I assume you wish me to keep them away from the scene?”
“If you could, let me just say goodbye to them, and Shoe.”
He crouches down, giving the kittens all a final stroke and cuddle, picking Shoe up to give her a gentle kiss on the forehead, before letting her to the ground with her children. “Don’t worry, Crimson will be here soon, he’ll take good care of you all.” He shuts the door, reentering the living area.
7:45pm Engarde’s House
“How would you prefer it to end?”
“As you wish. A single bullet.”
Hey, I’m sorry it came to this. We’ll be together in the next life, whatever’s out there, you know we will be. I’ve trusted you all these years and I still trust you now. Our death will ease the other’s suffering, even if not right away. He’s the only person who will miss us anyway. Heh, yeah. You’re right.
A single shot rang out, not a few moments later.
“Pleasure doing business with you once more, Mr. Engarde.”
His hand clutched the paper as his body hit the ground with one final breath.
The card was left on the table, next to the body before he made his exit.

alwaysengarde replied to your post: [txt] I know you’re staying away from me, but come by my house tonight about 8. It’ll be the last time you see me if you do, I promise.[txt] something like that. They miss you
[txt] I miss them too. I’ll talk to you more when I’m there.
don’t make this harder
[txt] the door will be unlocked.
Tonight. Are you ready?
Ready as i’ll ever be for this
It’s fine, it’s better this way.
Time to make some preparations. It’s now or never.
My best interests are the people closest to me. They are the only real thing other than my job that give my life worth. And when I see them fighting and hurting over this I have to step in.
But I cannot fix this with kind words or batches of cookies so I turn to the only other thing that makes me what I am. An Officer of the Law.
And as an Officer of the Law In encourage you…implore you to turn yourself in to your own law enforcement agency.
…there is no need for that. The murdering I mean.
you shouldn’t be talking to me, he’ll get pissy at you.
Then that is for me to worry about later.
I am offering insight from the point of view as a Police Officer and nothing more.
It’s sweet of you to say these things but, leave me alone. It’s for your best interests.
